Puerto Ricans in the US

The latest Census estimate of the Hispanic population in the mainland U.S. found that the number of Puerto Ricans living on the mainland increased by some 700,000 people between 2000 and 2008, according to the National Institute for Latino Policy.

The study found that while the number of island residents has remained stable at roughly 3.8 million, the number of Puerto Ricans living in the U.S. increased from 3.4 million in 2000, to 4.1 million in 2008. This represents an increase of 20.6 % over just eight years.

Noche de Bohemia

Once again we had a successful activity. Quite a lot of people attended this activity at Copa in Stone Oaks on Friday night.

We want to thank all of you who were present. We had positive comments in abundance and for that we thank you. It was nice to remember those songs from the 50s and 60s.

APRISA

The Association of Puerto Ricans in San Antonio (APRISA) is here to promote the Puerto Rican culture in and around the city of San Antonio, Texas!

We are looking for boricuas that would like to become members of the organization.

We are also looking for volunteers to help us out in the different activities that we have programmed for the year!
